MARCH 25 2025
Nordic Capital Advisors announces the appointment of Daniel Kanak, effective May 15, 2025, as Partner and Head of Investor Relations, to strengthen its leading Investor Relations team. Daniel has over 15 years of private equity experience and will be responsible for all aspects of global investor relations, overseeing all advisory functions within IR, including in relation to Limited Partner communication, relationship management, fundraising, and co-investments.
Daniel’s appointment follows a strategic build out of the Nordic Capital Advisors team, further strengthening its organisation and building the international team to serve Nordic Capital’s diverse group of investors.
Daniel has extensive experience in private equity, having held roles in both investment and investor relations. Most recently, he served as Managing Director in the Fundraising and Investor Relations group at Warburg Pincus, where he played a central role in fundraising efforts and investor relations across the U.S. and Latin America.
Before that, Daniel was a Managing Director at Nordic Capital Advisors, where he co-led fundraising and investor relations for the Americas from New York and for Asia Pacific and the Middle East from London. He also played a key role in the advisory function in respect of Nordic Capital’s global co-investment program and spent time at Warburg Pincus in Hong Kong from 2017 to 2019 as Executive Director of Fundraising and Investor Relations.
Earlier in his career, Daniel co-founded and exited a German fitness company. He also worked at Temasek in Singapore and London, focusing on fund, co-investment, and secondaries investment. His career began at Goldman Sachs & Company in New York.
Kristoffer Melinder, Managing Partner, Nordic Capital Advisors said:
“We are very pleased to welcome Daniel back to our team as Partner and Head of Investor Relations. His deep expertise within the private equity industry and his significant contributions in the past make him an invaluable addition. Daniel’s familiarity with our organisation and strong connections within the LP network will ensure a seamless transition. His appointment is part of our broader strategic effort to enhance our team, following several partner promotions and new hires, as we continue to strengthen our organisation to better serve Nordic Capital’s diverse group of investors.”
Daniel Kanak, Partner, Head of Investor Relations, Nordic Capital Advisors comments:
“I am delighted to rejoin to lead the investor relations team and support Nordic Capital’s fundraising efforts. Working alongside such a talented and dedicated team, with whom I have built strong relationships over the years, is a tremendous privilege. I look forward to contributing to the investor relations function and enhancing our engagement with Nordic Capital’s global investor base. Supporting the firm’s continued growth and success as part of such a dynamic and respected organisation is truly exciting.”
Daniel will assume his position on May 15, 2025. He will be based in the London office and succeeds Pär Norberg who has transitioned into the role of Senior Advisor in the Investor Relations team.
Nordic Capital is currently investing its EUR 9 billion Fund XI which was raised in 2022, over-subscribed and closed at its hard cap. In December 2024, Nordic Capital closed its second mid-market fund, Evolution II, at its hard cap of EUR 2 billion after a successful fundraise in only four months. Evolution II attracted excess demand from its launch and benefited from strong support from its current investor base, with a high re-up rate of over 100% by capital, and significant LP commitments from new investors and geographies, including a significant increase from the Americas.
