MARCH 02 2015
Nordic Capital has won the coveted Firm of the Year in the Nordics from leading industry publication Private Equity International. The award, announced on
March 2, 2015, recognises the leading private equity house across the entire
Nordic region, demonstrating Nordic Capital's continued reputation as a market leader.
The Private Equity International Awards 2014 are the only awards that are voted for by the industry itself, as Private Equity International's readers vote the winners.
"2014 was one of the busiest years in Nordic Capital's 25 year history. In addition to Nordic Capital Fund VIII completing six new investments, the majority of which were proprietary deals sourced through our extensive industry network, the Funds also took advantage of the favourable market conditions and executed four exits, including two IPOs, which enabled the return of significant capital to investors. During 2014, we further strengthened our advisory investment team, through the promotion of six new Partners. I am confident that in 2015 Nordic Capital will continue to capitalise on the attractive investment opportunities we have cultivated across the region, support the continued development of the current portfolio companies to help them achieve their potential, and return capital to investors," said Joakim Karlsson, Managing Partner, NC Advisory AB, advisor to Nordic Capital's Funds.
The high level of activity throughout 2014 included the two successful IPOs of Bufab in February and Thule in November, and also saw 13 significant add-on acquisitions within the portfolio. For further information about our activities please see www.nordiccapital.com.
