SNS, Center for Business and Policy Studies, is an independent, non-profit Swedish organisation that brings together the worlds of academia, business and government for knowledge-sharing and dialogue on critical societal issues. Now, SNS's new research project, Productivity, Competitiveness and Sustainable Growth, has started, and Klas Tikkanen, COO, Nordic Capital Advisors and board member of SNS, has been appointed Chairman of the reference group.
"This initiative is crucial for Sweden’s economic landscape, as productivity growth has experienced a notable slowdown in recent years. We must spotlight this issue and engage in robust discussions to identify actionable measures in order to drive productivity and prosperity to new heights”, said Klas Tikkanen, COO, Nordic Capital Advisors.
The project, spanning for three years, will explore various dimensions to drive productivity growth, including strategies for nurturing future talent, stimulating investments, fostering healthy competition, and optimising trade dynamics within the framework of government and industrial policies.
Esteemed researchers have been enlisted to contribute their expertise to the project, with Professor Emeritus Harry Flam from the Institute for International Economic Studies (IIES) to compile the projects final report.
