Nordic Capital’s Head of Investor Relations named as one of the Future Leaders of Private Equity

MAY 06 2021

Pär Norberg, Partner and Head of Investor Relations at Nordic Capital Advisors, has been named one of the Future Leaders of Private Equity by Private Equity International. Private Equity International’s Future 40 list for 2021 recognises the investors, dealmakers, fundraisers, operators and lawyers who have demonstrated leadership, innovation, interpersonal skills and technical expertise during the most challenging of years.

Pär Norberg’s inclusion in this prestigious list reflects his instrumental role in the successful virtual fundraising of Nordic Capital Fund X, which reached over EUR 6 billion in less than six months and closed in September 2020.

In addition, Pär is one of the architects of Nordic Capital’s co-investment programme and is deeply involved in deal processes and equity syndication where he draws on his earlier career as a dealmaker.

Pär was promoted to Partner at Nordic Capital Advisors in January 2021.

Kristoffer Melinder, Managing Partner at Nordic Capital Advisors, said: “Pär has been a key contributor to Nordic Capital’s IR and fundraising activities since joining Nordic Capital Advisors in 2014 and assuming leadership of Investor Relations in 2018. He has played a major role in the development of the IR strategy and team, which ultimately led to the record-breaking raising of Nordic Capital’s largest ever fund at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.  Pär successfully led the team through challenging unchartered territory as both LPs and GPs adapted to remote due diligence processes and set new standards for virtual fundraising. He also deserves great credit as one of the masterminds behind Nordic Capital’s successful co-investment programme and as an important link between the deal teams and LPs. Pär is a highly dedicated colleague whose professionalism and ability to deliver are recognised by Nordic Capital’s LP community. To be included in this prestigious and competitive list is testament to both his significant personal accomplishments and to the achievements of our Investor Relations team as a whole.”

Acknowledging the Future 40, Private Equity International said: “When we began working on this year’s 40 under 40: Future Leaders of Private Equity, only a few countries had implemented localised lockdown measures in response to the coronavirus. Much has changed since then. The path out of this situation remains unclear, which only goes to highlight just how important leadership, innovation, interpersonal skills and technical expertise will be in navigating the challenges and potential opportunities ahead. Private Equity International’s Future 40 list, now in its second year, provides the perfect platform for recognising the investors, dealmakers, fundraisers, operators and lawyers who demonstrate those qualities and who will be at the forefront of the efforts to recover from what looks set to be a devastating downturn. These are the rising stars of an industry that has more than its fair share of top talent.”
